I have a single V8 in my old Markline. The manifolds and risers will be due for replacement in another year and I am considering the use of stainless steel manifolds and risers.
Has anyone swapped over from cast iron manifolds to stainless steel and are they worth paying the extra money? I have heard some people say that they don't always last as long as people claim and that they are still susceptible to corrosion anyway. They might look great, but is there any performance improvement or is that just a myth? |

Ah...be careful. Remember that those fab-looking stainless manifolds & risers are getting attached to a cast iron engine! And once you attached the stainless to anything that can corrode, IT TOO, will in turn start to corrode. People will also tell you that hot salt water going through the stainless is not too good for it, either! Sorry I didn't see your post earlier.
